Vampire Weekend

I firmly believe the reason why Vampire Weekend is so big is because the band "Abe Vigoda" from Los Angeles is Mexican and poor and Vampire Weekend are a bunch of faggy white preppy assholes from New England. I've been watching Abe Vigoda since high school and it makes me sick when I hear the phrase, "Vampire Weekend is actually a really good band. They're so happy." Fuck you. Abe Vigoda rules. Westside.

You be the judge.

KILLING THE DREAM FUCKING RULES FOREVER ALL TIMES!!!

We should have quit back when we learned this wasn't everything, that
it all fades. but we never learned how not to care. somehow, it
still fades. these are the days that should have killed me...getting
to comfortable with pain. going nowhere in the name of hope, growing
into broken bones. the fractures have all healed, and i forget that
they were there. 'sometimes' becomes every time. just wait, it will
be any time. and you'll forget where you come from, if you can say it
to yourself for long enough. but you're not going anywhere. 'long
enough' becomes your life...forgot how you got there. we aren't
letting go. we aren't letting go. this is letting go. and i'll
forget where i come from. said it to myself for long enough. i can't
go anywhere from here. been living 'long enough' to know that it's
been long enough. i'm letting go...

one of the best hardcore albums of 2008. their best by far.

The Wrestler

So, I know I don't get personal here too often. But I've had an absolute brutal week. It's just been total decimation to me. And the best is everyone thinks they have me so figured out. Like it's nothing. Hehe, yeah you're right it's probably nothing.

I saw this movie when I was in L.A and again when I came home and it moved me in ways no other film has. I guess it's my new favorite film. I have been close to the wrestling scene all my life and as bogus and as cheesy as it sounds, a lot of those guys meant a lot to me growing up. I didn't have cowboys and superheroes. I had Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Ultimate Warrior, Chris Benoit. Well, you know what's happened to all of them. So you know the type of heroes I had.

The movie not only provides an accurate portrayal of the independent wrestling circuit (Ring of Honor, CZW, local shows), it hits me on a level I never thought a movie could. I know why I relate to these beaten men. It encapsulates my spirit and my attitude perfectly. It's called "The Wrestler". It stars Mickey Rourke and he's nominated for best actor. He probably won't win but it doesn't matter. This movie has already had a profound impact on me and the title song for the movie performed by Bruce Springsteen captures it brilliantly. So I guess you can say this is a glimpse into me. I've been called dramatic but in actuality I'm extremely toned down. I think under any other circumstances, you or anyone else might have dropped. But not me. I'm still standing. My heart's still tickin.

Quite possibly the best lyric in the history of music.

So I heard a lot of buzz on this band Clockcleaner from Philly. They were supposed to be a swampier, sludgier, and grimier Cramps mixed with like a Birthday Party/heroin aesthetic. I finally listened to them and I am really really diggin the band. They were apparently named after a type of heroin distributed in Philly back in the day which is always a good thing. HOWEVER, while their music/trash is superb, I have to say I love a band with great taste for word usage and this band knows how to fucking get your attention.

While listening to a song called "Daddy Issues" I was shocked and so happy to hear lyrics that quite possibly might be the greatest lyrics ever uttered by musicians or a band ever. It was this lyric that instantly made me want to move to Philly and join this band. Enough teasing here are the lyrics:

My daddy's been gone for seven years. I've tried to get my girlfriend pregnant the whole time. She never lets me cum inside of her, so I just sleek it across her smile...

yes, yes OH GOD YES.

This used to be a forum for two people. Somewhere along the way one of those persons comandeered the site and proceeded to run it into the ground. This is his story in his own words: music, sports, politics, all of it will be molested.
